Fees

The fee structure includes Fees for the 2023-2024 academic year:

  • A fixed cost of € 89.54 per semester (plus 1.12€ mandatory school insurance for those students with ages under 28)
  • A variable cost of € 27.67 per ECTS credit (for EU nationals) or € 102.52 per ECTS credit (for non-EU nationals). Therefore, the total cost will depend on the amount of credits enrolled at the beginning of the semester. Note that these values are for the first enrolment in a certain course - there are surcharges if the course is failed and the student has to enrol for a second, third or fourth time - see more details in the official UPC notification regarding fees for the 2023-2024 courses (in Spanish).
  • Once you finish all your courses, including the Master Thesis, there will be a final fixed cost for issuing the degree certificate: € 218.15.

Examples of total cost (please note that the actual figures will change depending on the student enrolment decisions regarding the pace and his/her academic performance):

  • For a EU student who takes the master in 1 years (part-time) and passes all the courses in the first attempt, the total cost would be 2 semesters x 89.54 + 60 credits x 27.67 + 218.15 = € 2057.
  • For a non-EU student who takes the master in 1 years (full-time) and passes all the courses in the first attempt, the total cost would be 2 semesters x 89.54 + 60 credits x 102.52 + 218.15 = € 6548.
  • For a EU student who takes the master in 2 years (part-time) and passes all the courses in the first attempt, the total cost would be 4 semesters x 89.54 + 60 credits x 27.67 + 218.15 = € 2237.
  • For a non-EU student who takes the master in 1.5 years (part-time, 3 semesters) and passes all the courses in the first attempt except 6 credits passed in the second attempt, the total cost would be 3 semesters x 89.54 + 60 credits x 102.52 + 6 credits x 111.23 (surcharge for second enrolment) + 218.15 = € 7305.
